Director, Gender Investment and Innovation Department The Sasakawa Peace Foundation
Co-organisers: RS Group, Narada Foundation and Sasakawa Peace Foundation
Targeting foundations and family offices, this workshop will explore the pathways of various types of foundation in leveraging the full spectrum of their philanthropic capital towards impact. The workshop will help the participants to identify similarities in their own journeys with those of the featured foundations, and will foster opportunities to learn from their peers’ progress towards venturing into impact investing.
At the beginning of the workshop, AVPN, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation and Amala Paradigm will share key findings of a report – Leveraging the Full Spectrum of Philanthropic Capital towards Impact – detailing eight case studies of foundations’ journey to impact investing across Asia and the US, followed by a panel discussion of featured foundations to bring to life their own journey and lessons learned. The workshop will end with a discussion session where participants share their challenges and lessons learned of their own journey.
- By taking on the learnings from the report and bringing the case studies to life as part of the workshop, participants will have the tools to conceive a concrete blueprint for their own journey towards impact investing.
- To emphasise the breadth of impact investing and how foundations can redefine the concept to include utilising the full spectrum of their philanthropic capital
- To create impetus among a set of Foundations in Asia to lead the philanthropic sector towards leveraging the full spectrum of their capital for impact.
