Innovations in Healthcare

Johnson & Johnson presents the GenH Challenge, a global social venture competition where YOU can design locally-tailored and globally-relevant solutions to enduring health challenges. The GenH Challenge is based on the notion that new thinking and new ways to apply everyday ideas can support those on the front lines of health care worldwide. Working together, we can spark the next great idea that will change the trajectory of health. Meet Khushi Baby and Barakat Bundle, top two winners of the Challenge who will present their work at the Healthcare & Livelihood session.

Innovations in Creative Economies

The British Council is recently launched the Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies (DICE), an ambitious programme that will support the development of creative and social enterprises in emerging economies around the world; in Asia the focus in the first year is Pakistan and Indonesia although we are aiming to expand to more countries in Asia in subsequent years. The programme aims to foster inclusive growth and progress on the Sustainable Development Goals and will take an innovative, cross-sectoral approach which draws on UK expertise in the creative and social economies. DICE will operate at policy, institutional and individual levels. It will be co-designed and co-delivered by sector support organisations such as impact hubs, accelerators and universities working in the UK and participating countries. Through DICE, we will engage with policymakers and key influencers to help participating countries identify systemic barriers and promote legislation, strategies and funding that enable social and creative enterprises to flourish.
