Rami oversees strategic partnerships for East and Southeast Asia, and for a global programme focused on Inclusive and Creative Economies.

Working across the British Council’s programme portfolio - Education, English, Skills and Enterprise Development, Civil Society and the Creative Industries - Rami and his team build partnerships with philanthropic institutions, the corporate sector and government agencies, to accentuate the scale and impact of projects throughout the region.

Prior to joining the British Council in 2017, Rami worked at Thomson Reuters, where he held business development leadership roles in the Middle East, Africa and Eurasia regions, and then served as Head of Enterprise and Government Partnerships for Asia Pacific.

Rami began his career in London, where he worked in strategic consulting. He received his MSc in International Management from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, and his Law Degree from Queen Mary University and the University of Utrecht.
