Georgia McCafferty is Managing Editor Client Branded Programmes at The Economist Group where she develops creative and compelling ways for clients to share their insight and expertise with readers of The Economist. Based in Singapore, with a focus on Asia Pacific, Georgia works with clients to create content that provides a unique perspective on the people and business strategies behind some of the world’s largest companies.
Prior to joining The Economist, Georgia was a digital producer at CNN International’s Hong Kong bureau where she reported, wrote, produced and edited digital news and feature stories for the CNN.com international website. Georgia has also written for Quartz.com, The Economist Intelligence Unit and SBS Australia. Prior to becoming a journalist, Georgia spent 15 years working in marketing communications in the market research and agriculture industries in Asia and Australia and managed teams that covered all aspects of corporate media and communication, industry relations, marketing and public relations.
Georgia holds a master of journalism from the University of Hong Kong’s Journalism and Media Studies Centre, a master of commerce in marketing and finance from the University of New South Wales Business School and a bachelor of agricultural economics from the University of Sydney.
