Edna Novak leads the Asia Pacific region of Teach For All, a global network of locally-led partner organisations who are working to develop leadership in classrooms and communities to enable all children to have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
In Asia Pacific, there are currently 13 Teach For All partner organisations, along with several social entrepreneurs who are working with Teach For All to explore the possibility of starting new Teach For All aligned organisations in the region. Edna and her team support this diverse community of partners to learn from each other and from the broader global network, to accelerate their impact both locally and globally. Edna herself started her career as a primary school teacher with Teach For America, in the outskirts of New Orleans. Before joining Teach For All, Edna worked for Teach For America, initially in recruitment and later as the executive director of Teach For America – Connecticut. Edna has a BA in Philosophy & Political Science from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband Steven.
