Based in Singapore, Brett is a member of Google's regional Public Policy team, where he is focused on leveraging the power of the Internet to expand economic opportunity. Before joining Google, Brett served as the Digital Trade Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, where he was responsible for helping U.S. tech companies navigate the business and regulatory environment in China. Brett has also served as a legal advisor on China-related international trade matters at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and he was an associate attorney in a multinational law firm’s international trade group. Brett received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Arizona.
