Bill Weil leads on Sustainable Finance at Tempest Advisors, which provides professional consulting services to some of the largest foundations working on climate.
He previously was leading private equity funds in London, as a Partner at Greencoat Capital LLP and as Chief Investment Officer at Ludgate Environmental Fund. Mr. Weil was responsible for setting the investment strategy (focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste/recycling), executing transactions and was Director for eight portfolio companies. Before that, was a General Manager of Strategy and Portfolio at Royal Dutch Shell in their renewable energy and CO2 division and then gained resource efficiency venture capital experience working with Vantage Point Capital Partners. Mr. Weil holds an MBA from INSEAD and graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, with degrees from both Wharton and the School of Engineering.
