Prior to co-founding and leading Alina Vision, Ben Midberry was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank's Global Social Finance group where he led lending to healthcare social enterprises and managed the Deutsche Bank Eye Fund I, an impact investment fund for eye hospitals using the Affordable Eye-Care Model. He got his start in microfinance investing, initially at MicroRate, a boutique rating agency focused on microfinance institutions in frontier markets. He earned his MBA from Columbia Business School after becoming a CPA earlier in his career.
