About Asia Policy Forum
APF is a collaborative effort that catalyses effective policy engagement that grows the Asian social economy through cross-sector engagement, knowledge building and collaborative action. As the policy programme of AVPN, APF was built from the input and interest from leading policymakers, social entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders to meet the following: 1) To convene a community of social economy champions 2) To offer practical learning opportunities and 3) To mobilise cross-sector partners to support initiatives toward greater social impact.
In line with AVPN’s mission to build a vibrant and high-impact philanthropy and social investment community in Asia, the AVPN Asia Policy Forum (APF) convenes policymakers and practitioners to facilitate greater sharing and learning opportunities on ways in which governments can foster the social economy. In 2017 APF welcomed 89 policymakers and social economy leaders to Bangkok from 21 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.
This year in Singapore, APF will be further integrated into the broader AVPN Conference, giving policymakers an opportunity to share their perspectives and approaches to enabling and catalyzing innovations in the social economy and gain insights directly from social investors and social purpose organisations driving this movement throughout the region.
